Note: Measurement markings are not predetermined for smaller sizes of crickets. If you want to determine measurements for different sizes of crickets the procedure is as follows:
Place the approximate amount you wish to measure in a refrigerator for 15-20 minutes, count them while they are still inactive, and place in your measuring tube and mark the tube. If this is a procedure you will need to perform often, and the quantity you want to measure is high enough that it makes counting each cricket too cumbersome, a small digital jewelry scale is handy for counting out 100 crickets by hand to determine a base weight. Once you determine the base weight, weigh out enough crickets to get to the quantity you desire (ie, 5 times the base wt is equal to 500 crickets, etc.). Once you achieve the desired amount based on weight, pour them into the funnel and mark the tube. Now your measuring tube is calibrated and can be used to quickly measure crickets or other feeders.
